Pinkeeps

I finished two of the pumpkin designs into pinkeeps today.

Here's a top shot of the ribbon. I love these polka dots.

Haven't really done any stitching this week. It's been less than a great week at work and I've just been wiped out when I came home. Only two more days to the weekend!

Lots to show

I have been stitching. This will be a picture heavy post. First up, I am taking part in the Great Pumpkin Challenge 2010 that Becky started. I have stitched three this week and while I still need to finish them, probably as ornaments, I thought I would go ahead and post the pictures.

This is the backing material I got at the fabric store yesterday. I love the skeletons. They are so cute.

I finished the windows on the house and started the moon last week at the Stitching Night at InStitches. I'll probably work on this one some more during the week. I want to get the moon done this week.

Finally, I pulled out a WIP/UFO. This was the 2008 Chatelaine Mystery. I never finished it and I don't really know why. I am on the last part. This is the bottom border. I already have the top and right borders done. I just need to finish the bottom here and the left side. I don't think it will take too much longer. I did the four medallions closest to the end this weekend, so a few more weekends and I should have it done. My goal is to have it completed by the end of October.

Lastly, thanks everyone for the well wishes. I got over the virus very quickly.

Thanks for stopping by.

Advantages

Being under the weather has some advantages. I was able to do a lot of stitching yesterday and today. I didn't have to do any housework, though I did do a load of dishes in the dishwasher.
I was able to finish the whole main roof and the "Once".

My sore throat was gone this morning and I only have a little lingering cough. I think all the Zicam and Nyquil I loaded up on helped kick it.
Well, I'm going to try and get one of the windows filled in tonight. Thanks for stopping by.

Started something new

Halloween is around the corner. I picked this up at the LNS at Stitch Night on the 1st Wednesday of the month. The model is stitched on R&R's Lucky Penny, but I'm doing it on WDW 35 count Tin Roof and I am loving it. The thing I have to get used to is the long rows of stitching in one color and not doing a lot of color changes. It's good for when I'm watching TV. What's neat is it is all based on Edgar Allen Poe. The house represents the Usher House. There is the Tell-Tale Heart, Masque of the Red Death, and The Pit and the Pendulum in the windows. The face if the moon is ole Edgar himself and of course, the Raven. Cool, huh?
We were suppose to go to PA this weekend, but I'm getting a cold and since my dad has no immunity and everything he catches turns into pneumonia, we are not going. So maybe I'll do some more stitching on it this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all the wonderful comments.

Number 9 is done

I just finished stitching on the 9th ornament by LHN, Peppermint Twist. I'd have to say this is my second favorite of the ornaments. The only weird thing was the candy cane "button". It does not have any holes to stitch it on, so I just sort of stitched thru the loop of the cane.

The next thing I'm going to work on is The Cricket Collection's "The Master nad the Macabre". I'm really quite taken with it. The face in the moon is great. I also picked up the new Just CrossStitch Christmas Ornaments issue. There's some cute stuff in there.

Well, that's all the news here. Have a good stitching weekend.
