Part 6 Finished
Finally finished part 6 of MXI. I had three quarters done and then got sidetracked with other stitching projects :-) Today is our 22nd wedding anniversary and I had a relaxing day. Got up late, fed the cats, surfed the net, then stitched on this. After Sam got up (much later than me) we went to Nature by Design and bought 2 liatrises. Nature by design sells plants that are native to Virginia. It's a nice place and the people are really knowledgeable. We went out to dinner for our anniversary and then went down the GW Parkway. All in all a very nice day.

Page 4 HD
I finished page 4 of FoS and put in about 400 stitches from page 5. Page 5 should go faster as it has blocks of colors instead of the confetti that page 4 had. I'm getting the bug to start something new. I might pull out fabric tomorrow and start Nora's Beatrice. After the movies with DH though. He wants to see Get Smart so we're going to a matinee. Should be fun :-)
More Stash!
My stitching buddy, March, and I went stash shopping today. First we met for breakfast with her friend Karen and then we hit the road for Scarlet Thread in Vienna (Virginia). We got there right at 10am when they are suppose to open. We waited a few minutes in the car and then went in. The "Closed" sign was still up. Soooo, we went and sat in the car again. We waited until 10:30. Went back in, "Closed" sign still up; tried door, it's locked. Okay, so we say "let's run down to Needlewoman East". After all it's just a couple exits down 66. We get there and find that Sue has sold the shop to Elizabeth and there is one(!) rack of cross stitch and that is all. OMG! It used to be the best LNS and now it has almost nothing but needlepoint. Don't get me wrong, that's great of npers, but not for us xsers. I did get the small magnifier while there. Only paid $21 for it. Everywhere I've looked, online and off, it has been $25, so I feel like I got a good price. We asked them if they had a phone book so we could look up Scarlet's number and call them. They had the number and said they had just seen her last night. Maybe she stayed out too late last night. Well, we called and she was there. She even laughed when March asked if she was open! So, back down 66 to Vienna. We spent money! I got 2 out of 3 of the new Nora's (they were out of A) and all the CC for B. I also got the 2 JBWs as they were having the trunk show and 15% off of them. They are very cute. March got some of them and a Long Dog. I'm not sure what else she got. Oh, and I got some English needles to try. We then went back to March's and stitched for a few hours. I finished page 4 of FoS. WooHoo! I'll post a picture tomorrow. Stay cool!

HAED SAL for June
Here's my before picture of Fantasies of the Sea for the HAED SAL. I didn't get to stitch on it at all today as I had to waste the morning at the government center dealing with real estate taxes. Then I went to work and was there until 3:30 pm. Then spent 20 minutes to go a mile and a half on the beltway. Love that metro traffic! Next we're going to Pennsylvania for Father's day and coming back Sunday night. That doesn't leave a whole lot of stitching time but I hope to get some done Monday after work. Happy Friday the 13th.

Hot!
Well, it's only 95 degrees outside with a heat index of 105. Our house is old, built in 1949, and we don't have central air, but we have window air conditioners. We put the one in the bedroom Thursday night, but we haven't put the one in the living room yet. I am sitting here with two fans blowing on me while I wait for DH to get home to put it in. In the meantime, I finished putting the beads on the 2nd quarter of MXI's part 6. After I finish posting this, it's on to the 3rd corner.
So, here they are.
I'm really enjoying this. You can't tell in the pictures just how sparkly this is. Well, I think I'll go have some ice cream to cool off and then get back to stitching. Stay cool!

I Won I Won!
I was playing the Bingo game on the HAED board, but I didn't get all my names drawn. However, they did two spot prizes and Fudgey drew my name. I get to choose one of a SK/TT/PAB/QS. I have chosen the Passion storykeep by Leanne Seed. You can see it here. I can't believe I won!
