This is mainly an IT saying. For those of you who don't know, it means Read The F****** Manual. This holds true for cross stitch instructions also. I'm blissfully stitching on Peppermint Twist, finished the first section and I went to do the backstitching and I read this "entire sampler is stitched in cross stitch using one strand of floss over two". Well heck. I did two strands of floss over two. I am
not taking it out! I am
not starting over! I like the way it looks. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think that it says 1 over 2 because the fabric is 40 count...are you using 40 ct? If not...then you're ok baby! :)
No matter...it looks good!
ROFLOL We all do that! I promise!
Actually I don't ever take the x-stitch instructions as anything but a guide and starting off point. I just do what works for me.
The piece looks great. You've 'made it your own' as another popular phrase goes (see American Idol 101).
I think it looks great! You know what I bet I would have done the same thing too! LOL.
Been there - done that!
It looks great!
I think the 1 over 2 would be to "faint" and washed out looking. It looks great the way it is.
Looks great to me.
I do the same exact thing. I wouldn't know the difference, if I didn't go thru and read it after I started it, lol
