It was about 50 years ago

That we had our last major earthquake. You don't think about Virginia having earthquakes, but it happens. We occasionally have tremors that no one really feels, but today the office shook and all the drawers in my desk came open. Yep, it was a 5.9 according to the USGS seismologists. We're about 80 miles north of the epicenter. I talked to one of my co-workers in Pennsylvania and they felt it too. Not too much damage luckily. My stitching stand didn't even move!

A lot of shake, rattle, and roll here at my condo. I thought some repair job had gone bad! Used up enough adrenaline for a week, but all is well now.

I am 20 miles from the epicenter so lots of shaking here but no damage thank goodness. That's enough excitment for the week I think!

I am so glad everyone is okay. My first quake shook me out of bed and I didn't all day since it was his fault that we had to move to CA. LOL I was glad in a way when we moved to another state.

As long as the earthquakes don't shake up our needlework...
