Happy Dance Time

I finished page 4 of Contemplating the System. After working on the other 2 HAEDs with all that black, the bright colors were a nice change of pace.

I have a few little things to work on, such as LHN's second ornament, so I'll work on page 5 in a couple weeks then at the beginning of February switch to The Astronomer.

Thanks for looking and Happy Stitching!

Birthday Time!

Happy Birthday to Me! I am 52 years young today. At work today they surprised me with lunch, cake, and flowers. Then my manager surprised me with a $200 bonus check. Also, my MIL sent me a check for $150 and my mom sent me another $50. You know what all that means don't you? Stash enhancement!!!!! My middle sister is taking me out to lunch Saturday and then we are going shopping. WooHoo!

I also ordered a new pattern as part of the HAED Birthday Club. I chose a new one that just came out today. It's called The Summons and you can see it here. I think it's just adorable.

Now on to the stitching. I pulled out Contemplating the System as my HAED rotation piece this month. Here is where I started on this past Sunday.

Here is where I was yesterday. I got a lot done, but I was home sick for two days, so I think that is why I got so much stitching done.

With any luck I should have this page done this weekend. They are calling for snow to start tonight so I guess I'll be forced to stay in and stitch. Such is the burden we must bear in the winter months. He He.

Happy stitching everyone.

Rainy day stuff

Couldn't think of a better title LOL!

So, I finished page 3 of CtS yesterday. I've already got some of page 4 started. The colors on this are so vibrant. It is moving along fast. Here is the piccie.

I love my new Needlework System 4 stand. I've just switched CtS to my 17 inch QSnaps and it is really helping. It's so cool!

Now, my next rave goes out to ABC Stitch. I ordered the new Mirabilia Shakespeare's Fairies. Not only does it come fast, but they always put the patterns in a plastic sleeve. It's been pouring rain here today, but I didn't worry about it getting wet sitting in the mailbox because of the way they package. This is such a beautiful pattern. My only beef is the treasures needed for it. I figured out they would cost $50.00 by themselves. That does not include the other beads. I'm going to adopt Missy's plan and substitute Swarovskis and others for the Mill Hill treasures.
There is a new bead shop in Old Town Alexandria that I will probably run into and check out and see what I can use in place. I don't know when I'll start this. I need to find fabric, fibers, ect. I have obligation stitching to do first. I'll get to it one of these days. It just really called to me.

Well, everyone have a good stitching weekend.

Long time

Wow, it's been almost 2 weeks since I posted. I have been stitching. I stitched my Lizzie Kate exchange, finished it yesterday, and tomorrow it goes in the mail. Today I went back to my HAED. I have most of the dragonfly finished. I have about 1700 stitches to go on page 2. I hope to have it completed by the end of the month.

Thanks for looking. Have a good stitching weekend.

More CtS

I finished about 3 columns on page 2. There is a lot of confetti stitching coming up on the rest of this page. Oh boy. I really want to get this page done by the end of this month, but I have to work on my LK exchange piece this weekend. Maybe if that goes quickly, I can get this done. We'll see.
I have to brag about my garden some. I made fajitas last night using a green pepper from my garden. It was really yummy. If our cantaloupe and watermelons produce even half of the blossoms we'll be giving away a lot. They are loaded.

Well, I have to go stitch now!

Have a good weekend.

CtS Page 1 HD

Page 1 of Cts is finished - again. I restarted after Michelle at HAED reworked the pattern. I think the column is better, but the medallion is less defined. It looked better in the first version. It's almost like you need to fuse the two patterns together, but I'm not starting again! UH-UH, no way. I'm just going to keep plugging away. We'll see how it turns out.

Restart

I had to restart Marchetti's Contemplating the System after Michele at HAED reworked the pattern. I started last Thursday and yesterday I had finished a little over half the page. It doesn't look like too much yet, but it is definitely lighter.

I put it aside today and finally worked on AW part 5. Seeing how part 6 comes out on the first, I thought I'd better get a move on. I finished one side today. Only three more to go. I'll post a picture when all four side are done.

Have a good stitching weekend.

Thursday SAL

Results of last night's HAED SAL. When looking at the chart and what I had marked off, I didn't think I had put that much in. However, looking back at the previous post, I did put quite a lot in. I really love this piece. There may be a lot of confetti stitching, but it is worth it when you look at it.

Tomorrow is Stitch and Bitch with March. She invited a couple of people from her office. I hope they come. The more the merrier!

Happy Easter everyone!

CtS HD

I finished page 1 of CtS during the Our Friends' HAED SAL. I was able to put close to another 300 stitches in on page 2. All black! I've used almost a whole skein of black so far. That's a lot of black!
And now, AW part 4. FREAKING BEADS! There are, if I counted right, 160 beads in this one section. I have to do that three more times. It took me hours to do. It's beautiful, but, yowzer!

Have a good weekend stitching!

HAED

I joined the Our Friends' HAED SAL group. We stitch on Thursdays. I actually got some stitching on CtS done. About 400 more stitches and page one will be done. I am stitching 1x1 full cross stitch on 28 ct jobelan. I like the smaller count.
Have a good weekend.
