Still Working ..

On FoS. I'm about halfway through page 8. I can't seem to stop working on this. I know I should stitch on some other projects, but they are not calling to me like this one is. I'll keep going until I get tired of it I guess.

I'm taking my sister Lynn to Scarlet Thread tomorrow. She has never been there, so it should be fun. They are having their red bag recycling sale. Their bags are red and for every one you bring back in, up to ten, you get 2% off you total. I only have three, but hey, that's better than nothing. If they have the new Nora Corbett Athena, I know what I'm buying!

I'm so bummed that I can't go because my final exams are tomorrow. I even have a lone red bag to trade in (although frankly, I like it, so I wouldn't have traded it). Enjoy....

Hi! The new vacuum is a Miele stick vac--relatively small, light, and for quick jobs and things like stairs, etc. What I recommend for carpet though is a big upright Sebo, which is also a German machine. No belts to break! The bags are a bit pricey, but it does such a great job that I don't care. In fact, the German machines are probably twice as expensive as most U.S. machines but are worth it, in my book, because they don't die after a year or two of heavy use. I don't buy the best dishwasher, for instance, because we're not hard on our dishwasher, but I buy a good vacuum because it gets a workout. I bought all my German machines at Quality Vacuums in Woodbridge, near Potomac Mills.
